The constant frustration is finding a good detailing center in Penang.

I find that Mirage's work is only decent, unfortunately I think it's the best I can get over here.

Not very comfortable with the one in PISA as I heard some horror stories of swirls after wash.

One of the guy from CARS international referred clay as "plasticine" and I am not sure of the quality of their own named product, though it's convenient as the chain is setup in most shopping centers here.

Seen some of the work by some shops in KL, and they are awesome.

Any good one to recommend over in Penang? I thought the sifus here would be the best judge as to which center is regarded as the "better" ones.

Here is Car detailing forum, most members and sifus are all DIY enthusiast. If you want to know more about Car detailing procedure and products, we can help you. We are not in position to say which Car detailing shop is good and/or not good.
Maybe some Penang members can recommend to you some shops..... smile_tongue.gif

to me all car wash places are good..............good at what they do.

The bangladeshi who goes from car to car with his bucket and 1 cloth is good what. Working hard for a living.
The shopping mall car wash company is also good. You see, shiny shiny after a good round of shopping.
Autodetailer is also good at what they do. See, supercars filling them bays.

So you need to ask the question in a different way,

Which shop can remove dirt?/
can remove swirls?
can remove holograms?
Which DOESNT cause swirls?

Which shop is a reasonable price?
Which one is premium?

Washing a car should be an artform, not a chore.

WTB Any acidic wheel cleaner
[PM me if you want Iso-propyl Alcohol, IPA.]

The best is to wash on your own. You can decide the best possible shampoo, MF, wax, etc.. and work out to burn some calories at the same time smile_thumbup.gif

as Tuan VR2 said, perhaps join the Penang TT and they be gladly share the "preferred" shop to do detailing...
anyway, welcome to the forum hope you find your ideal cuci kereta shop in Penang...
However if you happen to be in KL, the sponsored detailing shops as in the forum main page are reputable ones...
I'm not here to promote niether spokeperson for them cause most of us is DIY or DIT kakis....

Try out Autosol Detailing Centre at Sg.Pinang Jelutong, nearby Karpal Singh Drive.

It's located directly beside Peugeot Showroom Sg.Pinang, opposte Hyundai showroom as well / opposite Sg.Pinang famous Vietnamese cuisine restaurant.

Can checkout their FB to see their works. Quite impressive.
