It is sad that even when we park our cars within our house compound and behind a locked gate, it is still common to hear cars stolen right off the compound, especially if thieves want our car badly. I wonder if leaving our house porch lights on all through he night would be an effective deterrent? Perhaps even putting a CCTV trained on our cars (which would help if the lights are on too).

The syndicate probably cut everything and sell the body and parts.

that is possible, but its also possible the owner upgraded. anyway, the pics you showed is not from a Type R, but a Facelifted civic.

the car may be already been shipped out of Malaysia !!!
true, but it is also possible it may surfaced as the same car with same/different chassis or engine number with the help of someone higher up.
Those in bank & insurance as well as JPJ runners will know this - there have been cases where insurance companies have paid off those stolen cars which could not be recovered after 6 months, but a few months after the payout, the SAME bloody cars surfaced, and the best part is some even have the same chassis and engine numbers! new reg cards were issued. There's a syndicate involving a lot of parties. A local bank (the leader in HP market) got burned badly because the customers who bought these stolen cars are refusing to pay the instalments, and the cars have also been quarantined for investigations!
Another Malaysia boleh!
