Problem as smaller town less shops. Like in PJ, Sunway alone tyre shops can be next to each other, then there is PJ, Damansara, Shah Alam, Klang, etc., probably more difficult to do business here but of course population also bigger......

as tire shops likely next to each other, of course the tire price much more cheaper as the competition to obtain customer become more harder..

hi,

Was looking to change the tires of my Fluence. The tires are of 205/55 R17 size.

I am not looking for high-performance tires (the Renault Fluence is NOT a sporty car). Comfort is the priority.

Nowadays quite a number of sellers are recommending "weird" Chinese brands like Landsail. Are they good?

My first choice is currently Viking and Dunlop tires. From my previous experiences with them, they are pretty good. Can't go much wrong with Continental brands.

Thanks.

Landsail quite a big tyre manufacturer in China, they even make aircraft tyres. For their car tyres, I read only their model LS588UHP are okay, others do not have any good reviews.

Viking is the cheaper brand of Continental, like BF Goodrich under Michelin, and Dayton under Bridgestone.

Dunlop brand is now divided to different companies. Under Goodyear (North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand), Under Sumitomo (Japan, Latin America, Asia and Africa). Here under Continental could be because it used to be under Sime and now Conti have bought over Sime.

As for your tyres 205/55R17, nowadays seems to have less tyre choices . Check Conti, Michelin and Goodyear website does not show any tyre models. Yokohama have one their Bluearth AE-50
