i am using Stoplock too..but its the yellow head one..with the round key...i find it tough and it actually act as deterrent to theft...i believe they can still steal the car if they wanted to.
will check out the recommended lock soon...

Much thanks. Yep, they can still cut the steering wheel to remove the Stoplock, but it is still a deterrent. By the way, I know a locksmith who can duplicate Stoplock round keys. Not easy to duplicate, but possible. I lost my spare some time ago and I went to several locksmiths to make a duplicate. One tried and failed. Three others looked at me and said, "Aiyah, need special machine, lah. Here where got wan? Used to have but send back to HQ."
Anyway, I managed to find one in KL and he took nearly 2 hours to make the duplicate for me. Even then, the duplicate isn't perfect. It works but it doesn't turn as smoothly as the original.

isn't built-in gear-lock the trend & practical UNLESS wanted to show this steering lock stuff as deterrent & use as self defence during road bully or against snatch thefts.

Just found out that SOLEX AM999 brake lock cannot be used on certain car, due to the wider brake pedal.

You might be able to fit the lock at an angle. Consequently, it isn't a lock for regular, everyday use - more like for occassions where you leave your car for long periods.

Cannot la, the brake pedal is just to wide for the lock to be fitted in.
