any owner to comment this car electronics reliability (power door, power boot, 3rd row seat motor, etc) ?

am also considering getting a used 2012 onwards unit

am deciding between this full of technology accessory but slightly under power mpv againts starex (high power, full size but just plain without much technologies)

as reliability (fixing and maintenance) cost will play a deciding factor between these, i really need to know the above

appreciate if any owner can comment

btw, does this comfortably fit 5 big size adults around 5'10, weighing over 100kgs each ?   you know i have a BIG family ....hence these 2 choices

Mazda 8 shares common parts with Mazda 6, as my Mazda 5 shares common parts with Mazda 3. the previous gen 2.3L and 2.0L MZR engines in Mazda 8, 6, 5 and 3 are pretty reliable and common wear and tear parts are not hard to find. FC wise also not bad.

Hi Dixon, my Mazda5 comes with powered doors. so far no problems at all. mine doesnt come with powered tailgate though. Japanese parts are reliable most of the time. haha.

Most of the forum members are either now in our FB page, look for Mazda 8 Owners' Club Malaysia (https://www.facebook...39092789473665/) or even more active in the whatsapp group.  Thanks for following this forum.

Hi all My Mazda 8 (Year 2012) is having aircon problem. I already went to my local aircon workshop twice to top-up its aircon gas. After few days, the aircon will no longer blow cool air. Any recommendation for Mazda aircon specialist in PJ or KL? Thanks

If need to keep topping up gas, means there is a leak some where.

Hello, I am a proud owner of a end of 2011 M8. As you probably know my 5 years warranty is already over. And I having some problems. First off, my catalaytic converter needs to be replaced. From SA in Mazda Gleanmarie, they quoted my 5k++ for one! Thats a tad too heavy for me at the moment. Do you guys have better alternatives?

I have heard that you dont have to even have one, and you can go to the performance shop and install a silencer to bring down the noise and remap the ECU. Is this possible and viable for the car in long term? Any other options? Thanks.

Since Malaysia do not have emission laws yet, that is what others are doing. They rather decat then pay RM in k just to change the cat....
