Suzuki Malaysia Does Not Hold Suzuki Spare Parts

I then asked him about the replacement head gasket, the technician said Suzuki Malaysia doesn't keep spare parts; all spare parts are imported from Japan as and when required. But get this: the time for spare parts to reach KL is around 3 weeks. This means, if we have a problem with our Suzuki cars and we need to replace any parts, it would at least take 3 weeks to get the parts over. I asked him why is it like this? He said Suzuki cars are rather new here and they don't expect any major problems with the car and so they only stock up minor consumables like oil filter, air-con filter, engine oil, brake pads. The rest like absorbers, interior parts, gaskets, they will have to import it from Japan as and when needed. I told him Suzuki has got to start to cater for Swifts and Grand Vitaras that were first imported in 2005 as these cars will require changing of major parts already due to wear and tear.
Hope you guys are made aware of this. Anybody knows where I can get the replacement head gasket fast?

i had already encounter the same problem on last year when my SGV had accident, suzuki malaysia can't get my required replacement parts arrive soon enought ..so my repair workshop enquiry the parts from suzuki singapore instead..it really reached here fasten to get my ride repair. but there are one problem though..that my repair workshop are not so familiar with suzuki parts so their had ordered 2 parts that not matching my car spec..

Oh my. I encounter the same problem last year. My SX4 crossover had accident, the left side mirror was broken. I went to suzuki dealer and they informed me the same. they have to order it from Japan! but luckily, the singapore dealer had the stock for it. And yes i agree, workshop here is still not familiar with suzuki car, which make me sometimes regret buying the car at the first place :-(
And today, i send my car for regular 10k service. and i notice that the price for the spare parts are different from one workshop to another. when i contacted suzuki, they are not helpful at all. I thought the parts & accessories should be standard price. Hmm...should i sell this car and get local car instead???

SM, blame yourself. You will loose potential customers due to this spares stock policy!

And they're gonna launch their bloody overpriced RM150k Kizashi. And they expect people will buy when you cant even willing to stock up spares since it requires heavy investment.
Who wants my swift on the cheap? The exhaust o2 sensor is broken and it cost bloody RM800++!
