Ssangyong Motor Unveils Smallest Version Of Rexton SUV
SEOUL, Aug 9 (Bernama) -- Ssangyong Motor Co, South Korea's smallest automaker, on Monday introduced the latest and smallest version of its sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Rexton, Yonhap News Agency reported.
The new Rexton RX4 comes with a 2.0-liter diesel engine, significantly lowering its price range to between 25 million won (US$21,600) and 26.5 million won from larger models with 2.7-liter engines, priced between 28.2 million won and 40.1 million won.
"The new addition to the lineup of the Rexton offers a wider selection of competitive vehicles to our customers," said Lee Yoo-il, a court appointed manager of Ssangyong Motor.
The Rexton also comes with high-end front obstacle detection, Hi-Pass electronic toll collection and cruise control systems.
The automobile is the first addition to Ssangyong's vehicle lineup since the company came under court-led restructuring early last year. The company is currently in the process of selling a majority of its stake before the year's end.
