Just service my Perdana V6 yesterday. The minor service costed me RM115 at EON (I use mineral oil). bro.. you bought brand new? still under warranty?.. then go to proton. if not.. can go to other workshop.. much more cheaper. or.. u can buy engine oil and filter from spare part and ask any workshop to change for you. upah only rm10 maaa... i think u can save around RM20-RM40 depend on what brand u're using for engine oil. yesss... perdana only use mineral oil otherwise tappet sound will come out if use semi / fully synthetic. needs spare part? there is one guy selling very cheap of perdana parts with warranty in jalan ipoh.
The gearbox rebuilt was done at EON before the expiry of my warranty. If not under warranty, I will have to fork out about RM10k (EON told me). EON always RM..RM...RM... for recond GB cost around RM1.5k - RM2k. for rebuilt.. depend on what barang you tukar.. cost around RM500 - RM1.5k.
Changed all absorbers 2 months ago... RM7xx at EON. KAYABA or APM cost RM145 per unit include upah. Original absorbers by EON. (1st model of perdana used APM. then KAYABA.) Bush - sorry, no experience yet.

How to compare? Totally different characteristics.
But bear in mind, both also got gearbox issue.
PV6 if fitted with ATF cooler then its good & safe to have it, coz its comfortable & safe, very much in control, but sacrifice a bit on the FC. But Mitsu 6A12 2.0L V6 engine has good moddabilities potential.
City IDSI CVT gearbox prone to fail after certain mileage, but its 1.5L engine is very good on FC and adequate power to drive around town with acceptable comfortness. But dun expect performance. If you're constantly on highway, better get the Vtec, coz IDSI not meant for long distance highway cruising.

agree...
if you want comfort especially for long distance... go for V6
go for idsi for daily workhorse if run around town only where alot of stop go.... fc is good...
