Convert Ulysee Diesel Manual To Petrol Auto, Anyone ?

Guys, my 96 ulysee 1.9TDEL is down now smile.gif Torino said my engine has no compression so probably need to overhaul which cost me RM 16k to RM17k !! smile_dead.gif if worst come to worst im planning to convert it to other engine with auto transmission eg . camry engine ... anyone who has done it before and seeking for advice..... help.....

Never listen to Torino. Its wise to seek second opinion about the problem. You'll be surprise to discover the otherwise at competent mechanics outside.

You can use the xantia tdi engine. Its the same. Potong shop around rm1500.00. Over haul outside is around 4k.

Guys,

can i hv more accurate info like which workshop or mechanic who i can contact for second opinion ? my car now at Torino , any workshop around ampang or puchong coz i work in ampang and stay at puchong near bkt jalil . i may need to toll my car to the other workshop or they can go to torino do the checking for 2nd opinion ? smile.gif) hehe... before i toll my car to Torino, i called Jeffrey who is from Gervasi shah alam , too far that's why he refers me to Torino...... in fact i toll my car to Torino since last Friday but until now Torino cant give me any quotation and exact report of my car's problem ...

I won't be surprised if your vehicle is stranded in Torino even for a year and nothing is done...we have lived through our worst nightmares...sometimes it doesn't matter how far the good mechanic is...he may be able to solve the problem in a short time...good luck...

which specific workshop or mechanic would u recommend me which can solve my problem with good price base on your experience ? im not concern abt the distance now.

how about this two workshop ? any comment or experience?

I think most Italian car users will vouch for Fresh Tools. I heard bad reviews of Kafer previously but I don't know how they are now.

Call Dino first and talk to him before sending your car there.

Hi Gurjit,

Kafer's contact number no longer in service , anyway i have called Dino. Dino says he need to take a look of the car then only can advise but he sounds CONFIDENT tongue.gif . I may toll my car to him later.....wish me luck.... thanks for ur info smile.gif
