i drive a Suzuki swift- bought in 2007 mac. now the tyres have clocked 30,000 kms and i feel that it is time to changed them. i want for change to switch to another tyre make, but i found out that non other than the present make has the size. what if i upgrade to 195/55/15 from 185/60/15. i do not wish to change to new rims as the original looks okay to me. what do you advise?

there are limited 185/60/R15 tyres so if u decide to keep the ori rims the alternative is 195/55/15 as u mentioned....more choices, cheaper and will offer better grip and handling....try mich ps3

Hi, I just bought a used 2005 swift 1.3a cbu at the beginning of the month and it came with 16"x7" rims with 205/45/R16 tyres; it ride like my go-kart on off-road man! Further more the previous owner fitted it with a red coloured shock-absorber and coil spring! It is just too crushing firm for my butt - felt like my go-kart 20 years ago! Last week I changed it to 15"x5.5" rims with 195/55/R15 tyres and now the ride comfort is so so so much better... love it! Just to compare: I still owned 2003 Vios 1.5G & 2004 Altis 1.8; the ride quality/comfort is close to my Vios at the moment. I think if I change the shocks & springs back to the original and the tyres to 185/60/R15 (which is recommended) it would be more comfortable than my Vios but i doubt it would ever come close to my Altis. Anyway, this is a very fun car to drive around, good handling and different looks and feels.

Yes is cbu japan, came with digital air-cond panel. I paid rm52k otr with 1 yr Insuran & roadtax; which is too much (according to my friends) for a car that have done 100,000km. But I like the car - what to do! I kena ###### lor

Anyway the previous owner replaced the centre console with JVC stereo player with retractable 7" LCD monitor, some kind of shock-absorbers (Gabriel brand I think!), not sure what type of coil spring but it's red colour also.
I just came back from high speed test and the car runs smoothly, can go to 140kph easily but my wheels are not balance properly, it start to shake after 140 so didn't go any faster. Also notice strange smell after the high speed, wonder what cause that. Another thing I realised is the overall diameter of the recommended tyres of 185/60/R15 is actually bigger than the 195/55/R15; it is also bigger than 205/45/R16!
Tomorow, I'll send my car for V-cool!

My wifey drives the swift more, me ejoying forte...hehehe
207?....at KLIMS when i opened the door it feels so light and flimsy....interior is dull, so i just close the door back (PIAKK!!) and walk off
The 'saloon hair' smell you get when u rev high comes from catalytic converter, it also acts as signal for you to slow down

Those who change exhaust system dun get the smell
