Yesterday just saw on a friend's car , had 2 pcs of regular magnets on each of his OEM sparks plug cables . The magnet diameter must be accurate as the 2 pcs then can join together around the cable ( magnets only costed S$1 each , total S$8 bought from electrical parts shop ) . Claimed that the electric current in the cable that going thru the magnets help to ignites the sparks into a more powerful and sharper + directional sparks which in turn helps the car achieve a higher rpm in a shorter time . In short . it helps boost the engine performance .

Cheap and good . Another of my friend had drove the car and and confirm the differences in the performance .

Did they take out the spark plugs and look at the sparks with and without the magnet....
As far as I know, electrical current running through a magnet, gets cleaned and more stable or something, but I don't think the power is increased. We do have sets with the power cable running pass small magnets in between the plugs and the sets and this are standard fitment from our factory. BUt not all sets have them, the more sensitive sets only.....

Magnet or just ferrite?
At the most, it helps in shielding some EMF and preserving a little bit of electrical potential. That's all.

I believe it's like what bro drexchan said, it's ferrite and not magnets (probably similar material but not magnetised as magnetism is not needed for this application). It's like the one in the bulge on the computer keyboard's cable.
Faster acceleration, less fuel consumption - SURBO

Very minimal effect.
I've tons of that device in my warehouse. It was used to minimise the effect of video signal loss of CCTV BNC RG59 copper cable. The result is, not really worth to install on CCTV application. So these electrical shop uses these junk to con people. S$1 per pcs? These thing comes free when you purchase certain brand CCTV Camera.
I'll try to pop in a few onto the sparky cable see got effect or not.
Ram me if you can!

Let us know what the outcome like . Am eager to know as well .

If it does works then guess then you're in business ( since you said you have tons of that product ), just add a Splitfire Super Sparks Boost Charger sticker on the product and you have these products running around the market. Good Luck !

...and sell at RM168 per pcs.

10 years back really got this type of market ler. The most ridiculous one is the round magnetic sticker claim to have these effect seeling at RM25/pcs. To me it just an ordinary round black labeling sticker. Still got bunch of cuckoo head got conned.
