1. Change of fused headlight ( 1 side ) 12V-55W : RM 42.80
2. Wheel/cylinder Bosch 206 ( 2 units ) : RM 554.60
3. Labour : RM 135.00
4. Brake fluid HBF 4 : RM 46.00
5. Miscellaneous : RM 5.00
6. Service Tax : RM 6.75

Total costs : RM 790.15

Hi,

This is my 140,000 km or 7 years service done just before reaching 120,000km (real mileage) back in Dec 2008.
Done at authorised SC.
Yes, I still visit and service my car with them eventhough my car has been long out of warranty.
This is for 206 1.6L, so the cost is not that similar with the Bestari, but it will be quite near.

oil filter______- RM48.00 (almost double than outside & still original part price)
washer______- RM 8.70 (what a joke!)
fuel filter_____- RM55.30 (almost double than outside & still original part price)
no plate lamp_- RM 5.00 (exhorbitant)
labour cost___- RM95.00 (high due to some extra works - fitting fuel filter, no plate lamp and engine flushing).
service tax___- RM 4.75 (5% from labour cost)
Sub-total_____- RM 216.75

engine oil____~ RM170 (buy outside)

Grand Total___- RM 386.75

Part pricing for all the above should be cheaper, as I believe the price is on the high side (check out the washer price!).

Removing the fuel filter, rear no. plate lamp and the engine flushing cost from the figure above -> to get pure cost for engine oil change job.

I think not that bad ... ~RM275 for a 20,000km service interval (but i change oil every 15K km).

Nevertheless, it could be even cheaper (and fairer) with more reasonable parts pricing.
This has to be done (reduce parts price) immediately as current prices is bordering ridicilous.
Bestari 'altered' service interval of every 10,000km (instead of every 20,000km originally) will make the oil change service cost marginally higher than CBU 206.

Having said that, even Myvi oil change service cost for 15,000 km mileage (3x oil change service using semi synth) at authorised P2 SC will cost slightly more! (compared to 206 1.6 service cost).
I knew this for sure. Even if the Myvi were serviced with free labour every time. If Myvi need to pay labour, the gap will be almost RM100.
I bet Vios or City will be even be costlier or at best not so cheap compared to Peugeot actually.

My 206 went for the 4th service last weekend, it's 40000km. Was told it's a major service.



Here's the bill for the service at the service center.

Total bill RM807.80

Labour charge is still acceptable. But I would go get parts from spare parts shop for my next service.


Notice that there's no engine oil and air filter in the list above. That's because I have bought Total Quartz 7000 SM 10W40 oil from another workshop because I do not want to use Petronas Synthium. 4L, RM96. And I don't have to change the air filter because I am not using the stock intake.
