Test-drove a unit a couple of months back. I loved it very much.

It feels like driving a huge sedan car and not a SUV. Handling is good,
especially the bends. Pick-up is a bit slow but reasonable. Power, is
sufficient for normal driving.

Lots of features and innovations for the interior.

After the test-drive, it changed my total perspective of a premium SUV.
Wanted to take it home for good actually....but the price is beyond my
budget currently.

So, if you can afford it, go for it.

Just to try my hand - test drove in Oct 2004..
in a simple words..a superb, most innovating SUV in its class then,
got uuumph, whatever- U name it & Wins the `best SUV' categories
in 2003 & 2004 (by certain countries in Europe, incl.here )..
must be `something special' in it,
U've got to try it yourself & decide wisely,
If only I've enough $ myself..ThumbUp

been using the 2.5t since nov 03.

just note that the steering rack for the 2.5 is flawed. i dont know if
it has been ractified so get "insurance" from dealer.

apart from that, it has been very good.

there is a tick-tick sound, a bit like worn drive shaft of fwd cars when
steering is turned when the vehicle is inclined or declined.

fa would replace it as a matter of course but what bugs me is that they
choose to keep mum about it.

tick tick sound is caused by excessive weight being placed on the
drivers' seat from your fat butt.

ahhahaha
