Well, about my 360GLE,

My engine seems to can't stable on idling.

the sound is something like tu..tu..tu..tu(normal) then tutututu(????)
then back to normal again. My Mechanic told me it's normal, all old
volvos is like that ?!?!? Disapprove is that true ?

Hi,
May be you can check out the actuator, might be a leakage there.

haa...my 940 have the same problem...it goes unstable and the rpm meter
also seems to go from 1 to a little below 1... and it shakes everytime it
goes below 1. the mechanic that i went to said, that the plug might be
dirty hence, cannot supply power efficiently...

My S40 engine also mati twice already when the car has come to a stop.

It is like the engine timing is lower than usual, then the engine mati.

BTW, I'm driving a automatic, so the engine shouldn't just mati macam
itu.

Just make sure all your vacuum hoses are in good condition but bear in
mind that 1 meter of the original hose is RM 50. :D

Have had the same problem before and sometime wish it would be that easy
if able to pinpoint the exact problem. But for mine, I got 240 auto choke
changed and still does not work. Read extensively on the bricks site, it
seems most mechanic here do guess work instead of taking pressure test,
voltage test here and there like what they did in USA. this allows us to
check and pinpoint the fault alias for me, hv finally found out the
culprit to be the check valve. one little valve attached with the fuel
pump, contribution from brick feedback. It could sometime be one tiny
little culprit causing the car and especially the owner to go bonkers.
Best is to take it to a mechanic whom is able to perform all this check
instead of guesswork.

The newer Volvo model should be able to perform a dignostic check with the
right tool. Even the wira 1.6 has a plug in using a hand held dignostic
tool with the right software is able to pinpoint where the fault lies.
