Glock,
That is the outcome after I sent the car to SM for a 20 point check. The
previous owner was an Ex-FA staff, so he get discount fro staff purchase.
He actually have 2 items for T5 for sales. 1 is the orginal Sport Steering
(wood) and the 2nd one is the carpet for the back portion. Hopefully that
all for the mean time., no more budget. I will take out my 4 speakers, 1 x-
over and 1 amp for my Waja. Hopefully it will fit the T5.

cheeyam, congratulations on your latest purchase & welcome to the club!
Sent my T5 for servicing yesterday - total cost RM558-00 using semi-
synthetic engine oil.
There're actually 4 rubber boots (or bellows, as you put it) on the drive
shafts - an inner & outer boot for each shaft. I had to change two - left
outer & right inner. Both have raptured & the left one was leaking grease
onto the rims. The boots cost RM150-00 each.
Enjoy your "new" T5.

Hi cap,
Where you change it? SM quoted me RM 488 for the part without labour.

Did it in Ipoh. Wow! RM488-00 for the part only! More than 3 times the
price I paid. I usually service/repair my GLT in Chan Sow Lin. This guy's
the sifu of the Ipoh mechanic I went to. Let me know if you're interested
to try this guy.

Hello guys,
Just came back from the mechanic, took the day off to settle the
following :
1) Brakes making noise
2) Reverse light not working
3) Auto stick not able to move into PARK
The first one cost me RM455 plus installation. Earlier the front was
having BENDIX and the back WINTYE, so I changed all to VOLVO originals.
The second was going to cost me RM700 but we managed to salvage some old
parts to use. This is not the bulbs or the switch but the gear position
sensor. The third was because the gear knob was out of position, so don't
get conned into changing the whole gearbox.
For the second and third items, I wasn't charge a cent. Like I said
before, this mechanic's attitude is "moh-tak-theng" one lah. Maybe it's
because I'm not so petty and never ask a discount from him ever. BTW
since I was there, one S90 came in because of radiator leaking, it's
going to cost him about RM900. Sometimes this Volvo parts are indeed
priced too high for the 800/S/V series. Now got to "jaga" my spendings
abit, in view of the recent and future repairs. By next month, I will
table the whole cost for you all to see.

glock19, not that I'm counting but you must have spent more than RM5k
already & there's more to come? I'm just doing up my T5 bit by bit. Not
so "sum toong" (heartache) to see a big chunk of $$$ going out of my
pocket.
