I managed to get 10.9l/100km in the first 2200km of the car life (70% city, 30% highway). Bit more than an Altis 1.8, but not that much more. Quite okay considering 1800cc vs 2400cc car.

On highway I managed to get 8.0L/100km at 110km/h

fadli15,

if i am cruising on highway at 120km/h, what i normally get is 7.8l/100km.

my best result is 7.2l/100km while travelling on NS highway, cruising at around 100-110km/h

I think when I took my car Fed Auto deliberately didn't put enough air inside the tyres when I took the car. Its kinda heavy. Now I can cruise at 110km/h at about 7L/100km after putting in the tyre pressure back to recommended 250. Not bad...

Has anyone experience that the stock tyres (mine Conti Premium Contact 205/55/R16) kinda noisy when you are cruising on highways? Or is it because the car is too quiet that the noise become obvious?

r u sure the recommended pressure is 250? 250 is only when your car is loaded heavily or cruising at above 160km/h. normal condition is only 220.

yes premium contact is quite noisy, i changed mine after 20k km to GR80, the different is like day n nite (noise level n comfort).

Andrew, I followed exactly at the door sticker, under ECO driving. And it stated there 250. Another pressure is 210, which is the normal one. Frankly I think the car is lighter at 250 pressure. More responsive at stop and go driving in town. The ride also not that compromised (I don't really feel the car is bouncing). Any adverse effect to the mechanical components u think?

I am also thinking Brigdestone GR80, used that in my old Altis and very happy with it. Will look for it when its due for change, maybe next year.

maybe due to the slightly different spec between our cars, my sticker is on the petrol lid, n stated that when go above 160km/h or fully loaded with luggage n 4 passengers then only u need 250.

since 250 is on the high side which will lessen some shock absorbing, in the long run , bushes n abosorber might give way a bit earlier
