FA or SM are expensive. IMHO any decent mechanic should be able to fix a
240. Beware of crooks quoting you big money cause its a Volvo and
telling you to replace this and that.... 240 parts are cheaper than you
think and most things just need adjustment rather than replacement.

The VOCM forum has a useful list of parts shops and mechanics...Good luck!

Hi izz179,

Welcome to the club. Which part of Ampang are u at? I service my car at
Bdr Baru Ampang near Spectrum. The shop name is VI Service, u will see a
lot of volvo there. Look for Mr. Tan.

thanks cheeyam.. your nickname reminded me of my friend che' yam.. i stay
at tmn. bkt. teratai, just a few km away from Spectrum supermarket/mall at
bandar baru ampang.. i'll consider to VI Service and lookout for Mr. Tan..
puspakom checked my car before it was deported from kuching and concluded
that part of which need to be repaired are; 1)dynamic imbalance and 2)
service brake axle 1-poor.. can someone please explain it to me?

i know that when i'm driving the steering doesn't steer well, it feels
lighter especially when taking on corners.. and the it sounds very harsh
when i brake, maybe the brake pad had wear off i suppose.. this auto 240GL
volvo year 1984 has drum/disc brake?
