My greeting to all the Volvo SifU & Enthusiast. I've been following the
Volvo forumn and learned a little bit about Volvo cars eventhough I don't
have one. I fell in love with a V70 2.0T and placed a RM 500 booking fees.
I sourced the car from a very reputable used car dealer and they guarantee
me the car is in tip top condition, accident free and the mileage is
genuine...and it looks to be so to me.

My car loan application has just been approved and I expect to take
delivery of the car early next week.

I hope to hear some advice on what to look for particularly about V70/S70
before I take delivery as I am not good at inspecting car, more so it is a
Volvo. I'm very about defects which could be missed out by novice like me
and cost me a bomb to repair later on.

Thank You in advance for reading my message and valuable advice.

Hello and welcome to the Volvo family!

Just wanted to say, you can take the car to AAM and ask them to inspect the
car for you. You only need to pay a nominal fee and they are quite prof.

Hope you have many enjoyable years with your V70 and congrats!

Hello a0923e

Thank You for your valuable reply. Does AAM has the diagnostic kit to check
the volvo cars?

No,,no,,, no AAM please...had my car inspected by them
before,,wasted the $$ as the mechanic there are unfamiliar with
volvo, better still you send it to SM for 20 points checking and demand
for inspection report on the wear & tear parts report, if any major one
that ask your seller to pay for it...

Do you know approx. how much SM charge for the 20 point inspection and wear
& tear report? Could you provide me the contact number also?

his workshop in Taman Segar Cheras, near to Leisure Mall. He maybe able to
