hmm...not really 'very high'lah kilogram...u saja nak psycho clorox ni...
depends on how u drive jugak. mode racing of cruising. if town driving,
semua conti cars drinks petrol...Smile

Nak save petrol pun boleh, just tukak volvo punya body with wira punya
body, lagi ringan ... FC jadi cam honda vtec pulak.

This topic is 940 vs 230E. Since your only comparing these 2 cars, of
course I am right that FC for 940 turbo is damn scary. 230E on the other
hand is way more easy on the petrol.

Now you tell me which is better now.

relax.relax.both are heavy cars..so i think not much different in fuel
consumption.depending on driving style,city or highway.

just discussed with my dad..whatever happen,memang akan beli.since the car
use my dad rm..so i have to follow his preferrence. actually it was me yg
suggest 230E with facelifted to masterpiece,but my dad more to volvo. at
first i didnt like the 940.but after joining this forum,in love with 940
too.for some it maybe ugly with boxy shape. to me..the 940 design is
straight forward,practical,bulky,boxy,tough looking,and 940 is in it own
class.influenced by my dad, i try to love the 940.and now i really love
it.the interior very spacios.boxy shape with style.elegance. to drive it,
i have to re tune my mind.no need hurry and fast driving.just relax and
cool driving.

please help on turbo variants available and released what year and stop
production what year.is it good idea if i go for high pressure turbo.what
the bhp for high pressure turbo?or best stick to low pressure turbo?

i think a turbocharger would help to move the big 940...so tak de lah
sluggish sangat nak overtake or to move when light turn green.

the sad news after discussion,since my dad tak tutup lagi buku akaun utk
tahun ni(bisnes tengah rancak)...so got to wait my dad finish this year
trading.see how profit making..after that baru beli.might take 3-4 bulan
lagi kot.aaaaaaaaarrrrgh.tension.

i browse volvo 940 related pics from usa & europe.they keep it in great
condition.

To compare performance of 2 different car models, have to use the same
reference.

The reference is, both cars have to have the same weight, because both
car will convert the same energy stored in the fuel which is 43MJ/kg
fuel. So same input of energy and same car weight, then compare the
output performance of both cars.

It should be mentioned that, most Volvo are designed for highest level of
safety, and with the constraint on the Engineering materials (cost
balance), weight penalty as a result. We may use high performance carbon
fiber to maintain the same level of safety (like Formula 1 body
materials) with less on weight, but selling price like a bomb ….. tak
laku lah bang ….. except for prestigious man…hehehehehehe.

V940 weight closes to 2000 kg, while MB-230E weight is only 1600 kg (400
kg different in weight). It is normal if FC MB-230E is 10L/100km, V940
must burn fuel 12.5L/100km. If we expect FC of V940 is around 7-8L/100km,
just remove the body then drive without body ……..CABRIOLET Volvo 940
Lebuhraya Pantai Timur mah!!!.

To get the same speed, V940 has to burn 25% more on petrol. Unless V940
uses Hydrogen as a fuel, then V940 will save on fuel 75% less. So make
sure, take off with same references first to compare 2 different things.
Keep in mind that the input is the same - petrol with calorific value 43
MEGA JOULE per KILOGRAM (43MJ/kg) and should be with the same weight.

So what happen if the weight tak sama (most probable cases) ?. Just
compare the ratio of maximum power with weight, normally in the form of
BHP/TON. The Higher the Ratio, The Lower The FC.

Clorox,

Turbocharger will not help to move V940, only additional fuel that make
V940 to move. Though you boost your engine up to 30 psi, without any
additional fuel, tak boleh laju laahhhh.

Sabar sikit bro, Insyaa Allah, you will get it soon.

Bila kita bandingkan harga 230E dengan V940, bayangkan berapa banyak
petrol yang boleh kita beli with that extra money.

Tengok bola sekejap ... biase lah syndrome orang dah tua niee tak boleh
tidok malam.

Tak perasan kalau beza dalam RM20K-30K. Bila dah camni, boleh lah upgrade
V940 .... Titan, K&N, Exhaust, 16" sport rim, .... banyak lagi ... dah
boleh terbang dah. Big Smile
