Wow! Bro Richard! Now become car dealer also ka? Hehee....how much can my
car sells? Sometimes I'm tired of it too....changed almost everything and
car still squeaking here and there. Sigh....dare not send out for
servicing so have to pay more for the 'Authorised' Service Centre.

Bro, another question, if the experts at FA and SM also cannot tune our
car to perfection, how well can the rest of the shops assist us?

No la... just try to help here as few VOCM members are looking for
used V40....

Actually , i never trust the standard of repair works from authorised
workshop as many sad experience with them. and also due to the
high price of parts & labour ,

i only go to those ex volvo workshops for maintenance & repair works
that are better in technical knownledge & resoanable price of labour
& parts ( buy from ah kee, can save me thousands in years )

but one thing you need to known is which ex volvo workshop can do
the better specifit jod like example Ah Kee place can do only normal
service jod well but not major repair that need to go place like Banu &
VolMal ....so once you known the "Jalan" that will save you alots of
headache & $$$$, like recently i just found out the cheaper
replacement of Windscreen should go to those specialis on Glass
/Mirror shop that can save you up to almost 60%....now i very happy
with my car condition as most wear parts had changed ( affortable
cost ) and looking forward to live with it for many years. ( althought
some feel like wanted to change to others car ....)

Forgot to ask you about your Black Bezel headlamp... are you still
thinking of selling ? got a VOCM member are looking for it , let me

Hellooo Bro Richard! Always admire your high spirit la! Never give up on
Volvo! Hahaha!!

Problem with sending out is that we have to spend the time looking for the
part and looking for the right workshop to do the repairs. And before
that, have to look for a specialist to do diagnosis. Kind of a task for
someone like me, auto-illiterate! Hehe.... So have to sacrifice more cash
instead.
Next problem is that many small plastic parts r hard to find. Remember the
plastic of my boot cover damaged? Have to change the whole cover! Now
worse, the holder also broken. Not to mention many other expensive plastic
parts that r cracked, warped or simply melted! I wonder if it is cheaper
to order from Ah Kee?

All these r actually nothing to do with the drivability and safety of the
car but pretty irritating. Maybe that's a small price to pay for driving a
Vv?

I definately wish to sell off my front lights but how much can it fetch?
And this month kind of busy. Can wait until next month?

time why not you just give a price of your lights so i can talk to him.

For accesspories parts ...ah Kee might not be the lower price , if SM
have promotion or discount then you may get better price..or else i
can look for used for you through my contact on the volvo workshop,

U know alots about V40, do u think I could get one 2 years old V40 at
around 100K?? I miss one best offer, thats 03/04 V40 sold at 115K!!!
Anyway, my budget is only around 100K..If u come across it, pls let me

To be honest bro ken, Volvo is not easy to maintain. I just found out that
I spent so much to maintain the car. I can easily pay for another V40 with
it! Worse still, remember my battery went flat 1 1/2 months back? I had
actually changed the battery at SM in July 2005! But I checked with them
then and their response was that I had never changed any batteries at SM!
I thought all are computerised and they make mistake like that! Something
else in my car could be wrong when the battery cant even last half a year!
Or did they ever change the battery at all in the first place? Beats me. I
will call them up to get a compensation. To add salt to the wound, the 2nd
battery replacement was even more expensive than the first one!

Bro Richard! I am definately changing car this year and my car is all done
up (hopefully) after spending more than Rm15k at SM. If you have anyone
interested, just let me know ok? Thanks a lot.

First, sorry to heard your bad experience with SM, as i told you before
they had make numbers of mistake on my car as well that cost me
$$$....and RM 15K on you car at SM alone is alots !!!!! you definately
should claim back the battery..

and sad to heard you are planning to let go your car ...hope your next
car will be your satisfy final purchase.
