Hey guys,
Need some advice on this shock sensor for my Wira. I had a break in
before and lost my player. So thinking of installing this security
feature. Would appreciate any views from forumers. Thank you!

Aftermarket unit may work together with your stock alarm. But please do
not expect miracles, after you installed, it doesn't mean no break-in.

Hi Trevor,
Have a read of the other post on alarms.
You may be interested in not just a shock sensor but maybe a two way
alarm would suit your needs more.

Hey guys!
Thanks for the replies.
Guess what? I installed one. It's a unit a friend sold to me called
Wheels he bought from Brothers 2 months ago. He just upgraded his whole
alarm system to Viper and so the old unit was redundant coz his new Viper
comes with the shock sensor.
Lucky me I bought his old unit(2 months only lar) for half the price. A
pretty good bargain.
So far I feel it's quite sensitive lar to vibrations on the wheels,
bumper and windscreen. Can say even the body also lar.
I dunno... maybe I am just a little paranoid. I got robbed and it's such
a p*ss off. Wasted money to repair my glass and dashboard.
Please becareful of ur players and other valuables guys in ur car. Never
take parking for granted. Cheers!

trevor7900,
My thoughts :
a) ensure your shock sensor is mounted on your steering wheel rod.
b) sensitivity level should be about; when you hit the windscreen hard,
the alarm will blare. the more sensitive settings would be if you hit the
rear windscreen...
hope this help.

Totally agree with you fooyc.
The reason why u need to install it near your steering wheel (ei. you
steering rod) is because it is closest to detect movement on your chasis.
Fooyc, what system are u using? U sound knowledgeable in alarms.
