If u look at it from that point of view, no matter what lock/immo/2 way
alarm u install, if they wanna have ur car, they will tow it away with all
ur locks intact.

Ofcourse, all locks can be broken.
But like a forummer mentioned, no theif in his right mind would choose to
try n dismantle the dislock as it wouldn't be a 30 second job of just
cutting the steering(in the case of autolock) n removing the lock out.
Dismantling it would be very noisy and would really take some effort. So
there is a 'higher possibility' that the theives would opt for some other car.

So i would buy something which is slightly heavy, expensive...coz it
doesn't give me a false sense of security like an autolock.

Good coments. Masoom. Indeed I have experienced that most of the steering locks are actually high quality products. But the weakest part is our car steering!!!! So the professional theives will not be so stupid to cut the steering lock, but they will choose to cut the steering.

Hi to everyone.. .. quite long time i didn't post any comment here after I lost my Waja in year 2007.

Something to share with :-

Steering Lock, immobilizer, alarm still will not secure your car at highest safety level. As been said, they can cut the steering, cut off your alarm/immobilizer wiring and drive away or tow away. Recently, a friend of mine lost his Harrier and luckily found somewhere in BAlakong area. Thanks to his GPS device.

His car was found left near housing area, plate no was changed, all alarm, immobilizer wires cut off, no peeling or force marks were found. The police suspected it may be from someone that he knew and duplicated his alarm remote. The car was dirty and lucky nothing was stolen.

If your car equipped with GPS system, please make sure that the technician did put the GPS devise deeply behind the dashboard not behind the KMH meter board as were my friend found it out in his Harrier. He was lucky that thieve didn't found that.

Just to share the experience.

I've read about an article where a driver left his mobile phone in the car boot, hidden (where we kept our spare tyre etc). This is a very cheap nokia phone and one day his car got stolen and he called the mobile operator to detect his phone signal. Car thief escaped but he managed to get his car back... I wonder if we can do the same thing here...
Come come come.. lets sell mobile prepaid reload and top up...

hi there..i've read many reviews on the net and basically this autolock is
the hardest locks to break. i'm planning to buy the autolock pro from
smartshop. what's the price and can it be used in manual tranny? mine is
kelisa manual..btw is there any of u guys outthere using it? pls give me
some comments on it..

I know this post is old, but I like to share that Autolock is over-hyped. Check google to see that Autlock was compromised in only a few seconds. It appears there is a weakness such that a car thief can remove Autolock by merely yanking it out! A better steering lock is either Stoplock Ultima or Disklock -- both took about 2 minutes to compromise. However, Stolplock Ultima can't fit certain car models, so check first. Otherwise, have to return as it cost RM699.
