thanks AE101 for the site. Checked it out, it looks like im not the only
fella whos crazy about Toyota Cressida cars worldwide. 5M-GE
engine?....a rare breed to get/find in Malaysia, correct me if im
wrong. So to make life easier, Toyota engines is easier to fit into Toyota
made chassis.

wglee, u mentioned of a shop called United Motors in Sunway? its not in
Sunway, i checked in the yellow pages and Garang Racing was in there and
also a website to it, i accessed the site, and searched for the address
since you said that its next door. The shop is located in PJ Old Town =)

Just went there and true enough, i saw Garang Racing inside Menara Mutiara
Majestic but i couldnt see United Motors, i'll go there again on Monday
since it seems that Saturdays and Sundays they are closed and open on
weekdays. I was suprised to see that its inside there, because i was
thinking of a workshop with cars everywhere....is it in Sunway or in PJ
Old Town? or are there 2 shops?

United Motor is in the Sunway area where there is a Shell station. I
cannot recall the address. Will try to search for old receipts and get
their address. Meanwhile, call them at 03-56388018 for directions. Ask
for Ah Kiat (he can speak English), failing which ask for Ah Thau (speak
BM to him if you can speak Chinese).

I accessed JPJ's site and have read the rules on engine transplant. One
part says that to perform a complete engine transplant for something more
powerful than the original capacity of the engine, it must not be more
than 25% from the original engine capacity. Since my Cressida comes with
the original 2.0 engine, 25% means how much more can put under the hood?
in capacity i mean... 2.2? 2.4? Advise me please. Thanks again =)

I would think 25% of 2000cc is 500cc; hence you should be able to go up to
2500cc?

Alternatively, you could stick to 2000cc and see if Toyota has a
turbocharged 2000cc engine that could fit your car. I think the first
generation Toyota Soarer and 2nd generation Toyota Supra have such an
engine (in-line six, DOHC EFI turbo) for the Japanese domestic market
which could fit your Cressida.
