kamasnita,
nabira has no radiator cap and therefore one less opportunity for water to
escape.
the mileage on my nabira is 25K.
ps: back in my mind, i'd still prefer a japanese car for its
reliability. too bad i don't have that much money to get a jap mpv.

kamasnita: Might want to ask around forummers who have had their Nabiras a
bit longer. If this is indeed a defect affecting all/most cars
(touchwood), we'll need Hicom to issue a notice to change the unit ASAP.

Actually...worry more if failure of this pump while on distance
travel. If this is a common defect, then I'll buy one and keep it inside my
Nabira.

Hi Anturaya.
Don't worry lah. As long under warranty okay.
Furthermore, not all Japanese car not without problem.
I have heard of many too.
Just that the historical baggage of conti car seems to carry up to today.
Many years back, overheating was the problem coz they did not adapt to our
tropical climate. Those were the days. Due to parts not so common,
maintenance is a bit ex. But when u drive it, u'll know the difference.
Now your Nabira is made in Thai with engine adapting better to our climate.
If u have not heard, the earlier batch of Zafira that came to this region
(not sure if it landed in MY), use a totally different engine (and coolant
too).
Maybe as consolation, in SG, do you know that the Premacy, WISH and Stream
is cheaper than the Zafira? Yet, people buy them (like me, hee hee). Now
the Zafira has been in SG for 4 years - German X, Thai X, and Thai Z.

wazafi: All cars sure got problem wan. See whether what's the percentage
of "lemons" manufacturers produce for a particular batch. Hopefully the %
for Nabs isn't that high.

Hi fulat2k
Considering the Zafira/Nabira is scattered all over (Europe and Australia)
and even in Thailand and Singapore for so many years, no real big issue.
Could be the current batch from the maker of the water pump?

Wazafi,
