I'd say it's a good buy. The original price for the pre-facelift model was
above RM220k.

A mag not long ago also compared with current Stream and Grandis won in
terms of level of equipment.

I've been wondering how they can drop the price by RM60k on this new face-
lifted model. Is it a 'lite' version of the Grandis, or have they found a
tax loop-hole?
Cheers.

refer to the link below if you need 2nd thought. but the review is no where
between Stream, this MPV is on par with Odyssey.

for the spec, before facelift, it came with 6 airbags, now, it's 2
the prefacelift model was going for 160-170k after discount recently, so
i guess the margin used to be very high

drmaze,
I am considering an mpv but for RM160K u can only get a 03/04 Estima or
even older alphard. How is the grandis compared to the estima esp the
usefulness of third row seating and space? Anything unusual/special about
grandis that need to be consdered before buying. i would like sliding
doors but my previous odyssey also have normal doors. Thanks.

Candyman,
what make me to consider grandis because of 3 years free maintenance and
its a new MPV. If your compare the specs n space, i think estima will win.

I check about the 3rd row which somebody claimed that you have to remove
the seat to make space for luggage. Actually the 3rd row seat you make it
flat and hide underneath the floor.

fauzikh,
The specs for the three mpvs:-
Grandis- Length4775/ Width 1835/ Height1685/Wheelbase 2830/ Wt 1690kg
Estima- Length4785/ Width 1800/ Height1750/ Wbase 2950/ wt 1775kg
Alphard-L4840/ W1805/ H 1935/ WBase 2900/ Wt 1910

Probably the 5" longer wheelbase of the Estima gives the extra space while
the Grandis have longer nose/ overhang. Alphard is really heavy! No wonder
some complain 2.4 no power.

Will go to the Mitsu showroom to see and probably also the Santa Fe
(7seats) this weekend. Is grandis givng 3yr or 5 yr warranty?
