Hi all Colt owner

Especially the 1.5 non turbo Colt

Can you check if your engine is using Timing Belt or Chain?

Thanks!

magna,
based on my visual observations (hope i was looking at the right place) and
by referring to the user manual, i believe it comes with a timing belt to
be replaced at 100K KM.

wmh4141,
do u happen to know the price of the colt turbo?

and about the "attention" from other mitsu/ralliart wannabes, i agree
completely. i find that driving slightly fast in my bog-standard looking
colt makes other drivers (swifts, vioses and jazzs especially not to
mention wira/waja) get antsy and they either try to "cucuk" me or try to
outrun me. all i am trying to do is get to my destination fast. what la...

s40,
i haven't sent my car for service yet. i am waiting for my friend to buy me
the petronas lubricant (staff discount) then bring it to SC. the free is
only for labor. parts and lube have to pay.

about the aveo, due to many dealers only giving lip service but don't/can't
actually show me the car, my sister and i have decided that she will wait
for the swift ckd (depending on the price and specs). else, she might just
get a neo.

all,
i like how the car accelerates especially from 120KM/H to 160KM/H. the
acceleration at that range is just awesome (for me. don't really have other
1.5l car's as benchmark). going to sepang yesterday, it managed to keep up
with a souped-up waja at 160KM/H and could have overtaken it had there been
less cars.

ooops.. looks like it rained just now, excuse me while i go and wash the
car again today :-)

Jackson,

The price of Colt Plus Turbo (as far as mine is concerned is RM120K
before insurance). Colt turbo should be around RM5K or so cheaper.

Personally, i like Colt too and I in fact recommended it to another
friend of mine as its features are much better than Jazz (idsi at least,
not sure about vtec).

So, bila mau TT? Guys, any takers?

Attential all Colt owners (or Mitsubishi owners)!

I've just sent my car for the 1st 1,000km service last weekend. The
service advisor mentioned that if the mileage is above 1500km, your
warranty will be void!!!!

So, better send before 1500km!

So far, the car is excellent. Usually, when you buy a proton, you will
have a lot of complains for the 1st service, eg. power window, door,
etc...

Now, the SA asked me if there are any complains and I couldn't even
detect one!!! :))

Touch wood... but it's really a good car!

Hi S40,
thanks for the heads-up on the service thing.

however, i realy would like to see whether the service advisor can show in
black and white the ruling that he mentioned. it needs to be mentioned in
order for it to be valid in the courts.

Hey bro,

I think it's Mitsubishi's fault! coz even if you bring your engine oil,
they will need to verify your engine oil with Mitsubishi on whether it
can be use or not!!!

They say Mitsubishi is very very strict!

s40 WHERE did you send your car to? didn't know the 1500km ruling, only
know the 1st month ruling, car must service within 1st month and the
subsequent month must be on the dot or earlier or service/waranty
void.....Crying

Sent my car to the HQ, Glenmarie.

The SA told me that just last week, they rejected 2 cars coz the mileage
was more than 1500km.

Whatever the case, better send the car on the dot or earlier to avoid any
conflicts!

Ya... I know what you mean!

We bought a Mitsubishi but..... we need to share the service centre with
all Proton owners.... sigh....

No offence but since we bought the car at .... a bit more expensive than
Proton, shouldn't there be a separate service centre for all Mitsubishis?

I saw an Evo 8 or 9 serviced his car there.... In my mind, if I were the
owner.... I bought a RM 280k car but when go service, I've been treated
like a Savvy owner!!!! SIGH!!! :)

Worst of all, the SAs there are not friendly at all.... not like those in
Hondas, Toyotas and etc... Also, the centre is like.... quite down!

I think Mitsubishi should have separate service centres! Coz it's suppose
to be treated like Hondas, Toyotas and etc!
