changed a torn right side boot from the drive shaft a few weeks ago.
Noticed it because of creaking sound and repetitive thud sound when
turning hard left.

it tore again after a week at most, because the creaking sound came back.
but i ignored it until last weekend, when upon inspection it was found to
be torn and leaking grease. thus the creaking sound.

from time of first change of right side drive shaft boot to second change
(last weekend), at most 1 and half months. however, mechanic refuse to
accept responsibility for defective part and asked that i change to new
one and pay full amount including labour.

thanks to phibes, who was there to put things into perspective, finally
mechanice agreed to provide original boot of tougher rubber compound, with
no labour charge. initially expected me to pay for parts and labour
amounting to 150 ++.

before that, even expected to charge me for a second hand drive shaft boot
to be taken from all those used drive shaft parts lying in the back of the
shop.

these things is shameful and should not happen. thanks to phibes for the
support. and thanks also to the shop owner who has a conscience. no thanks
to the man quoting the price.

My pleasure dude, happy to see it all sorted out. Hows the exhaust feel?
and does your car seem happy with it's better than normal oil change?

Hope to see you at this weeks's TT (ok I am not a member yet ;-( wait till
Dec money arrives and show me the guy to pass it to ;-)

Peace
