Dear Guys

I noticed that some of you had problems with the brakes. What are the
actual problems faced?

MsElle, hope you can share your experiences on this matter?

Thanks.

Regards.

TQ for the links. Once I saw them...I noticed that I was in them too!
haha

Anyway, how is your Aveo now? Any major hassles? I have not encountered
the brakes problems as yet, but only reach 1.5k here. Braking is kind of
light for me meaning just a light tap on the pedal and it brakes...so i
have to get use to it as my old kembara, well, what can i say?? :)

i first encountered the uneven brake disc at 3000km-4000km.. once skimmed,
problem dissapeared.. next week gonna service for 10000km.. 2.5month
only.. up till now no sign of that problem to re-emerge.. Mr Job might has
some words to say about his suspect of that problem to reoccur.

Do you recall driving into a pool of water accidentally or got caught in a
low flood area before you encountered the uneven brakes?

Mr Job

Any feedback on your problems?

To others

Any other Aveo owners facing this problem?

no.. the 3000km was done in only 2weeks.. surely can remember no drivin
thro any possible sand-filled water or area.. it might be due to the disc
material itself.. or braking style? no i dun think so..

aii yaaa...

seem like a standard problem. my aveo also face the same problem since the
first day i get the car. Feel like a vibration when braking sometime can
feel up to steering. But when braking down hill no vibration and feel very
firm. Not yet been send to sc. Last time when change to this car i thought
i will get a good quality car compare to proton but now after 2 month.
kesimpulannya... 2x5
u know why i'm saying this?

1) Brake problem
2) Fuel meter 2 - 3 time not funtion(after sometime it ok back). my
previous wira the problem accured after 1 year.
3) Rear left door. when close need to push very hard and sound 'ponggg'.
org dengar bikin malu jer.
4) Third brake lamp make sound 'keng..keng..keng..keng' macam bunyi tudung
periuk
5) Absober make sound when start drive the car in the morning. after 1-2
km the sound gone.
6) Lately my engine timing quit high. when idle or gear at N the reading
is 800 rpm. btw what is the ideal reading for aveo hah?
7) This is the worst and make me scared. when rev the engine i hear sound
klok..klok..klok..klok dont know what

now my aveo milage is 6400km. need to wait another 4k to get the first
service. i dont think 10k is the good conditon to get first service. maybe
can reduce it to 5k. now my engine a bit 'kasar' compared then before.

moral of the story.. by a car is depend on luck
this is the second car i bought.. both of its 'no luck'
hope the list of problem will stop at this point.

ammar.. buying a car shouldnt suppose to depend on luck.. we pay we should
get a perfect car.. but yea luck also needed in buying a new car.. but
your problems seem too many.. why aa? luck aa? hmm.. btw i 1st service at
5000km.. after this just follow the 1000km interval.. no worries..
