RM90k for a new CBU 1.6l is a great bargain taking into consideration you
are paying almost the same amount for 1.5l Citis and Veos

seen on the road, nicely designed car(almost SUV look) with big "presence"
on the road. Haven't seen the interior yet but knowing its a suzuki I know
it wont dissapoint. Price of RM90k for CBU japan made is good, top notch
build quality will definitely be there. Although if compare with new vios,
people who prefer sedan cars or sedan look might not be too impressed with
SX4.

my wish to get a new car has diminished by the 2nd hand value of 2005
swift... merely 50% drop in value, thus left me virtually nothing to pay
for down payment for a new car.... unless i crop my savings for another
fast depriciated asset
however this SX4 must be a value for money as it's a full size CBU sedan
and being sold below RM100K... judging at the quality of CBU swift, I will
put my money on this machine provided that i get some good money from my
existing swift...
but that is not the case... so swift will be my ride for years to go...
p/s:- this SX4 has bigger potential to be modded.... just pay a visit to
suzuki sports webbie.... u wont be able to resist from drooling on the
accessories....

it's based on my experienced....
i went to a honda showroom to enquire a civic FD and wish to trade it with
my 2005 swift... the salesman contacted a used car dealer & came back to me
saying that the trade in value for my 2005 swift is lesser than RM50K..
if I take say RM45K is the acceptable value, compared it to the street
value of RM82K when it was 1st launched... the rate of depreciation is
somewhere near 50%
on the other hand, direct seller to buyer still can fetch RM55K for a 2005
CBU. amongst the factors that killing the value of CBU swifts is the
introduction of CKD.

The SX4 is "new" in Malaysia but not that new elsewhere in the world.
It's a crossover i.e. cross between a sedan & SUV. Call it a soft SUV if
you want. Might be slightly underpowered for weight = fuel consumption
could be slightly higher.
Local SX4, 2WD, other countries you can get AWD. Without AWD, what you
going to get is higher riding station wagon.
There is also mention of NGV conversion.

Handling worse than the CKD Swift. Rear seat leg space worse than MyVi.
Boot is slightly bigger ~8 inches longer as compare to Swift. Overall,
dissapointed after the test drive. Cheated by the review in Star. Wasted
the whole afternoon driving 30Km to the show room to test drive this SX4.
You are welcome to test drive and prove that I am wrong.
