rockdandy,

Most likely I will buy this car because of its small size and engine
capacity. Small size means convenient in town and small engine (but big in
power) means subsequent saving in fuel costs and road tax.

Others, I will just consder switching to bigger tyres, especially the
front.

No doubt a lot of you are comparing this car to the Kancil and saying it is
darn expensive.......I think it is certainly true.

But can a kancil give you the same amount of protection given that it did
indeed have double airbags and all that stuff...

As for the speed that it is limited to, there is a good reason for it! You be
pretty silly to drive this ForTwo at 130km/h to begin with!

Also that zinc sounding panels, it is all made of fibre glass and all body
panels are interchangeable... so one day if your mood fancies a blue car, all
you need is to buy some blue panels.
These panels are claimed to be scratch and dent resistent.
Can your kancil do that?

yes,

it is a practical in the sense that sometimes (perhaps most of the time)
we just drive alone or with a passenger...so the existence of smart does
fill the gap, where most of the 2-seater cars are expensive (except proton
arena ;p)..if i have another 100k to buy my second or third car i'll
definitely will go for it, probably smart for 4..we just can't compare it
with kancil coz smart is targeting a really niche market here in
malaysia..due the different perception of "practical" between malaysian
and european..go smart!!

I know why it's called a smart car...it offers little for a lot of money
(relatively), so it's smart for the designer and manufacturer, yes?Smile

it's basically a lifestyle vehicle for those with extra money and dunno
what to do. it's a weekend joy ride car but seriously not practical for
everyday use unless you only travel alone or 2 max with no luggage to
carry. it'a a big boy toy...

.. i make a correction here ...

it is still expensive if a kancil with full safety gadgets as above ...

but still , the stupid government 300% tax makes it freaky expensive !
compared to ancil tax ... if both tax free ...hahahaha
