my goodness, Smart is selling for 6k pound and that's cheaper than our Waja
or Impian in UK?? And here, Smart is RM80+k and that's like about RM30+k
more expensive than a Waja.
Probably because it's a CBU here in Msia. And over there in UK, Waja is CBU
from Msia. That says about the price!
Anyway, Smart vs MINI. I still don't know yet :-(
Or should I just blend into the monotonous life of buying the most typical
cars like from Toyota or Honda. There's no chic-factor riding on these
brands unless of course those models not avail in Msia.
Cheers.

The 6k pound is the Smart Pure model, entry model for Smart.
Coupe Pulse is selling at 8k in UK (RM 84,000 OTR).
and Passion is at 8,265 pound (RM 86,000)

coolguru, I hope that meant you weren't calling me a liar but you'll find
the link to an AutoExpress story below to advise about the Mini2. Arrival
in Europe and the US is expected in late 2006, so about 2-years from now.
There was a photo on the cover showing the twin headlamp style.
Cut'n'Paste the following link of the following to see the cover. You can
click the picture to get it a bit bigger.

Hi scooby5,
Wow, I can't believe what I saw! Oh man, from the photos it looks ugly. But
then again, maybe not when the real thing is out. Usually car makers will
deviate the journalist by showing them something totally different from the
eventual car.
Anyway, it'll not be a pleasant surprise to see such a twin headlamp. It's
a small car so keep it simple but impactful design.
I'd rather go for the current MINI especially when the MINI Convertible is
here soon. That should get all the chics turn their head!
Thanks.

It's one of those things that could easily grow on you.
The write-ip was the most interesting part though, with new engines
including the 200hp 1.6L in the Cooper-S and the larger platform allowing
more room in the rear seats. It will be interesting to see what the Off-
Roader, Speedster Coupe and two-seater Cabriolet varients look like.
If you are not sure which will be better you can think of your huge
advantage about being here in Malaysia. They will launch the new models
worldwide then in Malaysia 6-months to 1-year later allowing you to
actually see what the revised model looks like. If you don't like it then
you can head to Mini and buy the older model that will still be sold here.
