hi,

i read some interesting article in the web about expansion chamber

i thinking of this mod :

the original pipe, i cut out the middle part, and make my own middle part
and weld on it,

so the header and the silencer is original, but the middle section is DIY
one

so will JPJ said is illegal or not? is this legal?
cause i use back the original silencer, will they notice the middle part
is changed?

If it makes louder sound and your welding is noticeable sure is illegal.

Why do u want to make this mod? Any significant benefit? Normally if the
mod does not make your bike exhaust sound louder, then its OK, I think.
But if the JPJ or trafik noticed the weld on your exhaust, probably you'll
have a hard time explaining it. BTW, what's your bike? 125Z is it?

this is because, 2 stroke bike,the moddle part is shape specially so that
it work as 'espansion chamber'

if u can calculate correct, it will give u more hp, and can let u choose
what rpm u wan your max hp to comes out, [but need the correct degree
angle and diameter for the cone, and the length]

sam, here is my suggestion:

buy a secondhand exhaust, modified it (or watsoeber), weld it and 'cement'
the welded lines and the body of exhuast till the lines are hardly seen,
paint the whole exhaust with high-temp black painting.

but once u install the modified ekzos, u need to do 'tuning'. and again if
you change it back to the original ekzos, retune to the standard tuning.
