Well i own a 1997 ex5 when i first got it the top speed is 100km/h because the older version of honda ex5 are made in japan so that explain the better engine but they use the same block and carb until today.
I take out the old and slow carb from my bike and install a wave125 carb my speed increase to 110km/h than i go in a little deeper i change my block to 53mm,racing cam and a cutter pipe and now my top speed is 140km/h faster than a stock yamaha lc and all this would cost less than RM600,i'm preparing to get a new gear box and a racing bee cdi soon hopefully it will increase my aceralation.
