The Proton Persona has received an better than expected response so far,
scoring over 8,000 bookings since the car was launched slightly more than
a week ago. This includes the 2,200 bookings that were made before the
Persona was launched.
¡°We are happy with the response received thus far. We are also touched
by our consumers¡¯ belief in us. Two thousand two hundred of them booked
the Persona without seeing it during the pre-launch activities and now we
have over 8,000 bookings. On behalf of PROTON, I would like to thank all
those who have and are continuing to support us. Quality issues
previously brought up by consumers have been addressed in the Persona.
The PROTON i.CARE initiative was rolled out specifically with this in
mind. We want our consumers to know that we are not merely paying lip-
service to the You Can Count On Us promise but every PROTON employee,
myself included, will strive towards delivering this promise,¡± said
Proton managing director Syed Zainal.
Proton expects to sell about 4,000 units of the Proton Persona a month,
and it looks like the public has received it well so far. I hope the
Persona stands the test of time in terms of both sales as well as
quality. We now wait patiently for the Proton BLM, which will replace the
aging Proton Saga.

Proton I-Care?? anybody try it b4? REcently my waja MC3 got some noise
problem. try to kacau this Proton I-Care and see that is it really what
they stated here - Care about Customer...
Anyway..a very encouraging result for Proton.
It is goin toward the right trend oledi -- Quality of product and
service..
Hope it is not onli hangat tahi tahi ayam...
Anyway..well done proton....but whether can maintain onot its hard to say
Personally, i do go and take a look on this Persona..Good feeling towards
this car..actually the floating grille do make the front side looked
classy a bit..overall not a bad looking car (if i can accept the waja MC3
wif the new front grille, then i think this persona is better looking
than my waja mc3)
As for the rear seats, its indeed a weakness. Rear seats of Waja MC3 is
far far comfortable than Persona. And the material that used for the
interior is almost same like my waja mc3...no more plastic feel..but too
pity just don have the leather seat.
Anyway, wif 55k to get a decent car like tat, it is worth. But if
consider the comfort of the seat and space, waja mc3 still wins a thumb up
But if the outlook or exterior, Persona is better than waja mc3
Onli my opinion after take a look on the persona and compare it to my
waja mc3..haven got the chance to test drive..donno the performance yet..
But if i am goin to buy a second car for my gal or family, definitely tis
is the one

from what i understand.. this proton i.care is not just about their
customer service centre, its supposed to be work ethic for all proton
staff la no matter what job they do in the company.. thats why proton's
boss said the car is built with the i.care attitude.

Tzepeng, its ok if yours approved. U can just put it on hold or leave it
pending. No agreement signed, no commitment. U can even cancel it or
replace with other. ..Just advise.
ha...how come my last post was deleted. Just informing that Waja MC3 CPS
version should be of consider. It should be launch by Sept/Oct 07.
vehicle is ready available just in corporating the strategy of launch.

is there any comestic changes on Waja CPS or only new improvent on the

waja looks old and boring, wonder if new CPS engine will attract enough
buyer to get one... after all, better get persona, more modern design but
kecik sket la.. waja certainly more spacious and looks classy (interior)
