Hello everyone,

It's been a while.. A happy New Year to everyone..!!!

Okay, just wanna find out if there's any comment on the hype about using
the X1R oil treatment in our Gen 2 engines. Is it as good as the
manufacturer's claim..?

Any comments..?

Thanks ..

Hi,

What was the result of using the oil..? Did you actually use it.? What
damaged did it do to your engine...?

Compared to other brand of oil treatment, how bad it is..?

Comments..?

I put in X1R as well as Slick50, different times la, didnt see any
improvements to performance or fuel consumption. Bad side effects??? Not
known. Conclusion.....a waste of money.....but each time go to Ace and
other motorparts shops...again read their labels and again tempted to
buy...Final conclusion.....waste of money.

If you search the net, you will find info on these oil additives.

In most cases, these oils will do more harm than good.

not really...there are still some happy users out there...just that i
suspect this oil treatment thing only work sometime only if u got luck !
Anyway, i've tried 2 bottle of this X1R ...it really got some effect (
some...maybe 70% )on resolving my knocking sound ...other than that not so
noticeable ..

watch out. some of these additives/oil treatment consist of corrosive
substance. plus some of them consist of high viscosity lub that make your
engine feel smooth.

the best way is to make sure you change engine oil according to
manufacturer recommendation, dont overfill.

Just order some moledenum (sp?) and put a teacup of it in your engine. For
carb engines, you'll notice a few hundred RPM increase in a couple of days.
I used to order it from USA. But, dunno where to get it in M'sia. It was
very cheap.
Remember, a high percentage of what you paid goes for their advertising cost.
