Guys,

I used to own a gti for 1 1/2 years until June 06.
Now, I drive a colt plus turbo.

It's more practical, much better in acceleration and equally fun to drive
and moreover, consume less fuel.

So, if you're thinking of a car for an upgrade with the following traits:

5 doors
Bigger luggage space
Seats 5 adults comfortably
Turbo engine (1.5L) with 147 bhp, hence cheaper road tax
0-100 in around 8 seconds
A choice of 5-speed auto or 6-speed tiptronic
Low maintenance
Xenon headlights as standard
2 airbags
automatic tailgate, and more importantly
Costs less than RM100K

Personally, I would suggest colt plus turbo.

I own a SGti too, I must say most of the modern car like yours or even
H.Jazz is fun to drive. S Gti is just an old school product.

How much u pay for your new toy?

Cheers!

Hi Drago P5000,

You can get it for 98K in KL or even 95K in JB. Mind you, the actual
selling price back in 2005 (they're all late 05 CBU models) was RM155K!

I don't understand why USF-HICOM is not "serious" in promoting the car.
It's very popular in S'pore.

I even went to Mitsubishi and Ralliart stores in Singapore just to look at
their models. Fantastic....

Anyway, the top speed is limitedto 180 kph. I did reach the limit several
times overtaking the likes of Honda Civic 2.0L VTEC, BMW 325i. The former
must be wondering what the hell is this car.

Like you said, it's not old school. The 6-speed tiptronic is fun to play
with. Handling wise, it could be better with ralliart/aftermarket
suspension.

It has the pace of a 2.0L car, but consumes fuel like a 1.5L car.

G88,
The pix is a Colt Ralliart Version-R Turbo.
I`m searching around for that as well.
Any1 seen it on Malaysian market?

The Colt Turbo Plus has a slightly longer dimension.
Something like a Hyundai Matrix

The colt turbo plus abit on the tall side, you wouldn't wanna trash it
out at corners like the Satria GTi unless you change the tire and
suspension bits.
