ha! ha! you are quite right. I recently changed my MF battery with
indicator for another. I ask the spare part shop guy why is there no
indicator in this one. He mentioned that the indicators are not accurate
and manufacturers are now removing them instead.
That was his quote, not sure whether it is correct or not, but the battery
I got is from Century.
Lifespan, I presume one and a half years should be okay, but I change only
when I have problem. Keep a set of good jumper cable at hand in case of
emergencies like this......

Yours no warranty meh? Normally warranty is one year.
Last time I had one that went flat, 2 weeks before one year and I manage to
claim a new battery.
Very hard to say how long it will last. I have one brand "Roadmaster" Made
in Philippines, already more then 2 years and still running.
Had one from Indonesia, but last only One and a half years. Current one is
"Century" brand....local

u can sell to the newspaper man with the van that goes around your
housing area or some part shops. I think the scrap price ranges from $5
to $15 depending on your luck.

charging from alternator, current drain, or long storage period without
charging particularly for MF battery.
Ac Delco is a US brand, but made in Korea too. Batteries price increase
few time in last 2 years due to price hike in lead.
