a full tank approx. 45 litre (some 8-10 litre reserve). mix driving 350-
400km. 121hp (i think). timing belt change at approx. 40K. One air bag.

good pickup. nice to rev. engine sounds zrooommmm - nice. only in manual
transmission.

typical continental type of maintenance. i.e much more expensive than the
Jap.

are you sure kah?
bought mine 1.7l 16V in 1997 for 99K promo price.
1st gear reach at 60km/h, 2nd at 80km/h, 3rd gear 120Km/h etc. change
gear before the engine cut in. approx. 6900 rpm.

I can easily tapao "most" of the car from standstill with similar
capacities. My trip to Ipoh from KL can easily take 1hr.45min or better.
The car can maintain 160-170Km without running out of steam.

Many new owners complain to their mechanic about lack of power. Because
Alfa can not be driven like japanese car. If you are changing gear at
1500-2000rpm, the car is a whimp. Yes bo_lak. !!! When you started to
change gear at 3500rpm and above the car just come alive. The sound of
the sweet engine is just amazing. once you get use to the car, you can
change gear by listening the Vrroooommmm sound of the engine. This is the
characteristic about a boxer engine, ie. poor low end torque at low rpm.
Alfa is meant to be driven hard!!!!

I am sure other alfa kaki will tell you the same things. once you have
driven an alfa it is hard to find a replacement for the same price.

Yes siree, MNG, I can't agree with you more. My 146 boxer is the third
Alfa I have owned and I shall tell you what, the more you rev it up high,
the better the engine gets. Once you get to the third and fourth, by
revving up at 5000rpm from 1st and 2nd, the car just can't find enough
space to get through, cos there are so many blxxdy blinking cars on KL
roads. You can definitely feel the power and speed that hard revving gets
from the engine. I think what the other guy did when challenged by other
cars, was to change gears too quickly. From standstill, if each gear is
only changed at about max revving, it will definitely tapao most comers in
the same class. Forget about Kelisa and Kancil, etc., they are for kids!

nothing much to say about boxer, I onwed it since 2000 till now and
everyday I enjoy the ride. One and a half tank fuel give me apprx. 800 km
for mixed driving and sometimes redline to the limit. BTW, I'm using 17"
rims. As for the pikup.., so far nothing with the range of 1.6cc NA and
below other than B16A/B Vtec engine able to give a good fight either frm
standstill or hiway running.

filled up 2 times la friend. 1st full tank, managed to get
520km ...but "I'm still tak percaya" so I filled up another half tank to
see if it goes propotional.. then total up I get 800km. This after I'm
using your lambda sensor. Previouly was around 350km per tank using koyak
lambda.
But one thing I noticed the lambda that I used is kind of sensitive. When
WOT normally during 1st gear suddenly injector light turn on and goes off
when change gear.., mcm wide band lambda sensor la.. , meaning it can
detect a slightly rich mixture during WOT. No light nothing during
cruising speed or idling. why ahhh ?
