Placement of lights way up from the usual place is a norm nowadays for
auto-makers. Reason is simple.......when a car is being hit from the rear
only the bumper and the rear is damaged minus the lights thus resulting in
less and severed damage costs to the owner.
Major Conti-makers already started with this concept a few year back and
the Jap only started to follows.
So nothing to be shame about and only ignorance on our parts that makes us
always blame this and that.
Anyway the Sutera light placement is at the right place but if they can
change the cluster placement in the triangle itself so that it display a
more comtemplary or European looks.
Likes the car but if they can comes out with an auto-tranmission model and
add ABS on it with little extra cost.....i will go for it.

You must remember that the Pininfarina concept was to ensure this car was
suited to city/urban use. High mount brake lights have been
deemed 'safer', so why not mount the whole tail light assembly higher up?
Visibility for other drivers as well as pedestrians is vastly improved.
Remember when the EK Civic came out, most people hated it and said the EG
was much better. Nowadays, the EK looks new and the EG is starting to
look a bit old and tired, although even in the late 90s, people said the
design was 'timeless'.
