Can Somebody Tell me why??????
Benson,
If the Berlingo is on a slope ...and your front left wheel is the lowest point of car (ie berlingo is sloping downwards to the left), then your tank is also sloping, this allows you to fill more than usual as there is no air trapped in the tank. Hence you can actually fill more than what normally goes in.
When I go to KL, on my way back, I always fill up at a certain Shell station which slopes left wards at the pump I use. I get more petrol in before the click comes on. In the end I can actually go more than 70kms on top of the normal range of 620kms (about 5 litres more can go in!!!, ie I can hit 700kms on a full tank). I have actually passed the 55 litres mark on several occasions.
Of course , the reverse happens when the slope is reversed.
So, always use the same spot to refill your car if checking your fuel comsumption. Hope this helps.
Regards

Hi,
Haven't come in for a long long time ! My Berlingo 1 is approaching 10 years already ! Still in service .. Mileage is 250,000 kms already...age is catching up but wife using it for school runs these days. New Berlingo.. no sign of it ... Singapore is quite common. My 2.5 year old Multipla has covered 125,000 kms already ...pretty reliable and fast. My age is also catching up LOL.. may be looking at 5008 to replace my berlingo soon

Aviyel, 250K kms still working well, reliable built. i'm spotted new berlingo at old klang road with m'sia no. plate, but this is panel van, look like more wider than previous one.

Think that unit belongs to Brooklands... Not for sales.. Claim that they couldn't get the price right to sell in M'sa.

dear all,
my berlingo is quite a drinker...rm100= 47.6 ltr = 350 km only......7.35km/ltr......drink more than my previous 2.0 406 or 806....after change exhaust sensor upper/lower, coolant temp sensor, add new catalytic converter, with injector cleaner...got 403km for rm98= 46.7ltr = 8.62km/ltr.......... from publication, mostly stated berlingo 1.4 can get around 39-40mpg or 13.8 km/ltr....looks like mine was drinking double than usual....looks like engine is running rich.......morning starting time, cold engine, exhaust will emit black smoke with petrol smell.....

hi all...anybody here ever thought about adding more power to your berly? just wondering really as the berly is now a 3rd car and was thinking about making it a project car. we've unfortunately only had the choice, or lack thereof, of the 1.4 so i couldn't even begin to think abt salvaging the 1.6 or the 2.0 engines available overseas.
alternatively...what about transplanting another citroen/peugeot engine in? and before you say it...yes, i'm fully aware of the complexity that is the multispace wiring. i suppose, one option would be to junk everything and just transplant half a car in, electrics, gearbox, etc. that's provided the mountings are compatible.
anyhoo, my berly is now 11yrs old and feels very underpowered. has anybody tried adding this tuning chip (
