Hi multi,
Would installing ths cooler void our warranty? or should i wait until
after warranty period to do ths?
Thanks

Hi dzat,
No, at least on my side here in Singapore. The installation is plug n play,
no major modification done to the gearbox or other components thus warranty
will not be affected. If, in the event of warranty on the gearbox arises,
just simply undo the cooler before you drive in to claim. This is based on
my own experience coz I fitted mine when my Jet is only 6 months old and
have been in and out of agent during servicing, no question ask or
whatsoever...

Hi multi
Ok will let you know regarding the cooler when i am done with my in camp.
As for the Cat, I replaced the Cat with through pipe, and it sound like a
turbo car with lot of harming sound. Your pipe is through? The
centre muffler you talking about is at the end of the exhaust pipe?

Hi pipio2004,
Yes, I'm using a through pipe but retain the Cat casing. The pipe is inside
and was welded front and back. I don't have that kind of "Turbo"sound as
you've described. As for the centre muffler, it is located after your 2nd
Cat, a big black/silver box under the left passenger seating. The rear
muffler is at the end of the exhaust pipe. My only guess is maybe the
exhaust guy took out the centre muffler thus you have those noise...it
should be retain to maintain back pressure.

Hi Multi
I see. Mine is only a through pipe, no cat casing or muffler thus that
explained the sound. Now trying to find way to cut down the effect. Thank

Thanks jackson. Told by the dealer that they have only one left, so we
should be quick if we want it. So we act as quickly as we can..to dump her.
It looks like it's going to be a toyota in the end. SO will bo joining the
toyota forum next. Enjoyed the brief encounter in this forum. All the best
in your motoring experience y'all.

Hi mazen
Well, I get my vendor to fabricate the through pipe and weld up the
flange myself.I thought the exhuast muffler is good enough to remove the
noise. Anyway I manage to reduce the noise by fabricating a perforated
cone with reducer.
Hehe , experiment.

Hi pipio2004,
So its true that the center muffler is taken out. If yes, do you think
that's problem when you go for your car inspection when its 3 years old?
