is parallel with the time to reach 180kph actually..
higher price = lower time.

Original Post : you are paying that money just to get above 180kph?
ugh... how often are you even going to reach 180kph? You'd need at least
200hp on a turbo to reach 180kph with any reasonable stretch of road
before having to jam the brakes to turn a corner, stop at a traffic light
or avoid accident with car in front.

98% dont drive them in their lifetime but bragging rights of many owners i suppose

thousands of RM to increase the power to over 300bhp...spend more than 3k
on exhaust...more than 10k on rays rims + tyres...
and here u go..." u r paying that money just to get 180km/h"
statement!!!! do u have any idea how easy these 280bhp cars can reach
180km/h from 0?

Do read completely, I already conceded earlier and yes, the point is moot.
And how easy is it to reach 180KM/H?
Suffice to say everyone here is right.
Hey hey

The reason I m not too impressed with spending that kind of money is that
I've passed 220-240kph on several occassions and I do not prefer. Am an
old man maybe, no longer have a need for top speed. My internal speed
limiter is 140kph... very rare for me to exceed this limit.
Til today, nothimg more exciting than driving at 60-100kph... around
corners. Still my prefered poison, the feeling where your tires are at
the grip limit or even a little drift.
But yeah, bragging rights I can understand.

Original Post : brother, the question was rhetoric.

old man?? no lar uncle. u dont sound as old as me (39).
60-100kmh?
grip limit?
little drift?
bro, the elise seems the ultimate choice. that factors match elise 10 of10. granted the car is way
too inhabitable for daily. (doesnt seem as one of your criteria).
bragging rights = younger man & his machine.
the older you get the less bothered about high HP (unless you have large pocket of $$$$), & still
needs to impress peers or a young chick. (hey just maybe??? )
the older you get, one factors the `symbiosis` between man & machine
ah well, there are different needs for every individual, that makes owning a car such as trying to
prick womens thoughts.

prefer Spoon S2000, Technopro MRS 2ZZ, NSX S-Zero or RX7.
While I dont have a need for TOP speed, I still do have a need for speed.
The Elise is a great car... just not very useable and somehow lacking
power. Prefer MRS in comparison with hardtop.
