hehe... now you know. Can't really comment on that, but of course which
owner of car that would say that their car is problematic or bad?

owners ... everyone has an agenda ...

The only owners I know personally that admit their car is bad are proton
owners. They already started complaining upon getting their brand new car!

...I agreed , in my opinion that Wira is the most worthy car fr potong, so
far-plenty of parts (new/used) -->cost also affordable.

vios, ah ahah, good luck.

On the warrantty issue of the gearbox, I own a sept 2003 City-idsi and
recently developed gearbox problems. Juddering when acceleraing from
stationary and also when cruising or overtaking RPM goes up and down and
the car jerks.

I wrote a letter to Honda Malaysia about this problem they promptly
replied and fixed an appointment with my SC to further investigate my
problem. After my visit to the SC, the SC confirmed my gearbox need to be
replaced and report was passed back to Honda Malaysia.

3 days later Honda Malaysia called to let me know that they will replace
the gearbox for me for free. I only had to pay my SC for labour costs,
which is estimated about RM 300+
(Please note that my car over 3 years and I had about 70+k )

I have taken up their offer and will be changing my gearbox soon.

As for the earlier post someone mentioned the gearbox is RM 27k is not
true, my sc said the new gearbox cost around RM 17k.

Also, honda is already prepared for this sort of thing and doing damage
control.

For your info the 1st batch of City all had CVTF from Japan which is not
suitable for our climate here. They didn't know until the gearbox got
into problems. That is why the newer batches all have correct CTVF inside
and this earlier batch gearbox problem is solved.

When i said honda is prepared, yes, they have containerloads of
replacement gearboxes for people like me.

My advice is just go through the proper channels first, make a complaint
and Honda will follow up on your problem.

so are you saying that it's the japan CVTF that's causing all the gearbox
problem, not mechanically because of the gearbox?

Honda M'sia is really doing their job. From what swt experienced, even an
expired warranty they still honour the claim.

i am receiving my ct vtec on thurs this week. Got comfirmed by SA (who
attended training at melacca factory recently) coming ct will have some
extra features :

- Signal light on side mirror
- All ct to have Ultra seat (even vtec)
