Hello mieba,

Not really. We are in the same boat. I have not got mine yet. I actually
booked at Seremban Honda on the 12th May. It was a typo in the list. Just
like you, I am still waiting. Almost 6 month. Almost give up if not for
such good feedback from all the forumers.

I am patient man but there is limitation... Angry

Halo guys!

I'm in the same boat as you. I booked my city in June from the dealer in
K.T'ganu and was promised 3 months delivery. Now it's coming to 5 already.
Based on what I read in this forum, I knew that I couldn't get the car in
3 months. I was expecting a period of 4 months before making noise. Now
it's already 4 months+ and I'm beginning to make noise.

What irritates me about the dealer is the fact that they almost promise a
date and later change it and later change and change & change and so on.
Finally, after cannot tahan, I called Honda Malaysia today. I was told
that when I booked in June, I was supposed to be promised 5 months
delivery instead of 3 as promised!

I immediately called the dealer again, told him that I called Honda but at
the same time told him that I didn't say anything bad (just to maintain
good r'ship). I asked him to get my car ready before Raya by hook or by
crook. If not, I'll take the necessary actions (that I'm sure he won't
like).

I thought of cancelling the booking as well, but like all of you nice
guys, I couldn't because my heart is already set on driving city. Guess
what I think about everytime I go to sleep these past 4 months???Shy

mayornaise (mmmm, thinking of mayonnaise),
1. What is current interest rate for honda city?

3.4%

2. Let's say I put my downpayment of RM 8000 how much I have to pay for
7 years loan?

monthly = RM1,045 (RM70,888 loan)

3. Is it true it feel so good driving a Honda...?

Honda = The Power Of Dream

4. Is it really secure using a Honda...( I'm afraid of those kaki curi
kereta...)?

Security system in City is considered one of the best, with immobilizer
and wave-blade key.

5. Lets say I booking in Disember....when exactly will I gert my new
Honda...?

I think May 04, but during new Accord launch ceremony, Honda did
mentioned more faster delivery for their City.

well, i booked my City on 11 August.waiting period noted on booking
papers was 6 months. I wonder if you guys had such a date/month written
down as well?

Reason is i called up HM and inquired if it's possible to cancel since
coupla days back in AW and The Edge Daily, it was noted that HM would
return the booking fees "no questions asked".

I thought it sounded too good to be true since that "no questions asked"
could be interpreted in many ways.

It turns out that they would only return your booking fees if and only
if, they(HM or Dealear) exceed the stipulated date of arrival on the
booking forms. I.e. If by 11 Feb 2004, i do not receive the car, i can
request my booking fees back.

yeah figures, too good to be true...

So guys, if your papers have a specific time/date written and has
exceeded that delivery timeframe then i suggest you call HM(1800-88-2020)
and ask for your booking fees back if in case wish to cancel.

And it would also seem what one reads in papers about the 2 month waiting
time and such is just not really the true picture. I think its just a PR
job, that cannot be true still since a lot of us are still waiting.

An interesting point to think of would perhaps be, if the 2 month thing
is true, one could cancel(assuming you can get your cash back) and book
it again and perhaps it would be even faster than waiting for it now till
6 months down...ok ok..flawed logic.. hehehe

Since have no car still, guess have time to save and get those amazing
accessories some of the guys have been getting on and talking of in the
forum and minus a car guess can't do the TT to learn of the ways of City.

and so i wait.

Thanks for the very nice offer. Unfortunately, I won't be in KL during the
weekend. Is there any other way you can help me?

mieba,

i don't know why there's so much delay in your part. i should get my car
end of september as promise but i was working away. then, when i came
back, they start to offer me the car but with different color. they said
that if i still waiting for my actual color, the waiting period will be
longer. so i end up with satellite silver on 10/10. the color is just
optional for me although i envy when looking at other red ruby city. if
there's no rush, just wait for it. city'zens in seremban are very quiet
one. btw, my dealer is BL.
