My wife's City has its fan motor, timing belt and hose changed. No
complaint from the service guy (normal outside mechanic). So I presumed
City parts are quite easily available.
First generation of City is quite a common sight in Thailand, Malaysia and
Singapore, not sure about other Asean countries. Yup, Taiwan also. I don't
think parts will be difficult to get, especially this car is only launched
less than 10 years ago.

Hi Siew,
oic! happy to hear that, atleast no need to worry about spare parts. what
do you think about original spare parts? my friends told me to use only
original parts and service at Honda because you pay for the quality. what
do you think friend?

I have been using original parts all this while, partly because my car
service expenses is bear by my company.
The mechanic has stop asking me whether I would like to use other
alternatives, which is cheaper and available at normal spare part shop. I
believe these items are not only meant for City, but usable for other
models as well.
Take for instance on my spoilt air cond fan motor, the mechanic has
suggested a Taiwan (according to him) fan motor, which he claimed is a
general unit that can be used on Civic as well.
Ezhil, the parts are not really a problem. However, I would suggest you to
set aside about RM1k to change timing belt, hose and other moving parts
after acquring your car, it will give you a trouble free usage for the
next 2 to 3 years.
