Most likely could fit the newer Civic engines..to my guess, most likelythat 1984
Accord has no way of going in a Accord CA3,SM4,CB3,CB4 onwards; the
engines are big and the engine compartment of yours is small.

A front clip of a civic might actually cost more than your 1984. How's the
condition of the car? Are the body panels still in good shape? Any rust in
the wheel well areas, boot lining?
A well maintained 1.8 might be worth it, since most of them were imported
from JP, but a 1.6 is probably the locally assembled model. We had an 84
accord in the family too until recently, where it got traded in part for a
city.
Guessing wildly here... but the 84 model shares the 12 valve 1.8 twin carb
with the 2nd gen prelude. The 2nd generation prelude eventually got
upgraded to a 2.0 fuel injected DOHC. Same engine was also used in the CA
series accord. Might be rare, but might fit with minimal work with
preludes/accords from that era being very similiar.
Good chance of killing yourself with a 980kg 160ps car though... heheh.
