Hi,

 

I would need some help. My CR-V steering is giving some strange scratching sound when turning right and left. Initially, the sound only came out when the car was moving and turning to the right. However, after a few weeks, the left side also started having this sound. 

 

Now when the car is not moving, i turn the steering left and right also have this scratching sound. Hence, I am not sure what is the problem? COuld it be drive shaft, or CV joint, or power steering deck issue... ?

 

Anyone face this problem before?

 

The next action who can help identify the issue and fix it. I found this service centre in Old Klang road called Cardeck. Are they reliable and good? I see mixed reaction from car owners going to the service and repair centre. 

 

Can anyone please help if they face this problem before and where did they bring the car to fix it and how much did it cost? Tx

Hi, nowadays car forums are very quiet. If your car is over warranty period, just send to a mechanic for a check or to your regular mechanic you go to?

 

As for the problem, most probably is the steering mechanism side since you have sound even when stationary. CV joints usually have krok krok sound when on the move and turning.

 

Another way, maybe you can try joining a Honda CRV fb club for more feedback.......
