Hello, long time haven't been lurking around.

My Waja is currently using Steelmate 898G alarm system. it is a two way remote. recently one of the remote got lost and replacement cost 200 over. I am just wondering if let say i bough another steelmate alarm but differet model. Can I just plug in into the existing wiring that has been customised for steelmate or have to redo the installation. i took a look at other steelmate larms and saw that the socket are similar.

thanks.

Similar should be okay, but I am not an alarm expert. I used to change audio HU, those with similar socket works nicely.

Anyway, is it cheaper to change the alarm rather then getting a duplicated remote?

remote alone cost RM180. this the two way alarm ahich can't be duplicated. it is cheaper to get the remote alone but the alarm has shown some erratic behaviour so was thinking of changing. the same model was discontinued.

If old alarm is erratic might as well get a new one to be on the safe side.....
