I had good experiences on Michellin 3ST, however this series dont have size for 225/45R18. Which are the premium comfort tyres do you recommend that equvalent to 3ST but carry the size of 225/45R18?

Bro. kc,

If possible don't use 45 series if you want comfort......hhahahhahahha

Back to your question, try Good year Efficient grip. The pattern something lime Michelin P3ST

Another will be Yokohama dB V551 and Toyo C1-S. In their website all show size 225/45R18

The aspect ratio is the height of the sidewall in respect to the width of the tyre. The lower it is, means less sidewall, means not able to flex more therefore not comfortable.

For calculation 225/45R18, means 225mm tyre thread width, Sidewall is 45% of 225 = 101.25mm this is the height of the sidewall and R18 on 18" rims.

To use higher aspect ratio actually need to change rims to smaller size. If use same rims and use higher aspect ratio then the overall diameter of the tyre becomes too big. There are size like 225/50R17 or 215/55R17 that can be used. 225/50 is closer overall to 225/45R18 but sidewall increase to 112.5mm only. If use 215/55 the sidewall is further increased to 118.25mm

My current GY F1 225/45/18 also clocking above 50k km needs replacement. This tyre is definitely a lot nosier than PS3 i had b4 this but it a good tyre except the noise. Tyre manufactured 2013

Looking to go back to PS3 225/40/18 or any other similar model (PS3 ST) to recommend? What's the price as well?

Bro., the other thread you post your tyre size as 17", so is it 17" or 18"....lol

Many complain PS3 noisy woh! P3ST is mid range not UHP, probably can try PS4 or Asy3 or maybe new MC6
