Recently I had a bad experience when sending my car for respray. Long and horrible experience.
Anyways after I got my car back, the windscreen feels like there are some sort of coating on top of it. It was no longer smooth as before I sent it in for respray. When I use my silicon wipers, it sounds like its going over something rough.
Any techniques to gain back the smoothness which can be DIYeD?

Try using a claybar. You probably have paint over spray on your windscreen

Averagely how much does a claybar cost, and quality all about same right ? or any preferred over another

Easiest for you to get should be PG claybar, which is sold in most supermarket or hypermarket. It is around RM30 a box.
The thing is you can cut into 2 or 3 pieces depending on your hand size. Press it flat then use a shampoo solution as lube, then go over the windscreen with a little force. If dirty just fold the claybar then flatten again and continue. Claybar can be used for a long long time. Just don't drop it onto the ground where it might pick up some fine stones/pebbles which can/may scratch the area you clay.

l use steelwool. cheap n effective . did it on all glass windows.. no worry on scratching glass.
my way
1. wash screen n dry.
2. rub using steelwool until smooth
3. clear away steelwool residue
